Super Bowl Ads

Every year, we greatly anticipate the Super Bowl ads. Even if you’re not interested in football, it’s always entertaining to watch a violin playing beaver. How can you not get behind that? There were many commercials dedicated to bringing out the manliness in men, some pants optional spots, others starring animals, beer commercials aplenty, and even Betty White joined the fun by being tackled into a puddle of mud for a Snickers spot. Lots of ads urged you to visit websites to resolve a nail-biting cliffhanger. Over lunch, we discussed some of our favorite spots. Many enjoyed the simplicity of the Google Parisian love spot and others liked the cute E*trade talking baby ads. Again, I’m sticking with my fiddle playing beaver. Doritos had a few creative spots that were chosen through a competition. A few film trailers including Robin Hood, Shutter Island, The Back-up Plan and The Wolfman ran as well. All in all, it was a very exciting and unpredictable day, both for football fans and commercial viewers.
