The Greatest Thing I have Ever Seen (on MTV)

Thank you MTV for putting on one of the most exciting awards ceremonies I have had the pleasure of watching. Tom Cruise made a triumphant return as the powerful studio-exec Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder. Cruise (as Grossman) was playing the role of Producer of the prestigious awards. The show was riddled with many hilarious moments, including an award kiss between Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson. I can’t recall any of the award winners off the top of my head, but that’s not really what these awards are all about. This is probably the only award show where you’ll see Tom Cruise do the splits, Ed Helms in a cloud costume playing the piano accompaniment for a grown man dancing in a skimpy tiger costume, and Betty White make a racy wardrobe comment.
